"Boo! v2": Postponed but not abandoned


So this is gonna be a short post on the state of the game, its development, and the overall experience. 

To be honest and frank, it's going at a snail's pace. 

There are many things & Ideas I've planned, prepared, and wrote that are simply too difficult for my current level of experience in game development. These ideas can range from new dialogue interactions and puzzles to the new battle system and overarching story. While I can plan forever and create endless ideas, they're simply just stuck being ideas if I'm not able to actually create and execute them in the game. Add this to the fact that I love polishing my games to the point of perfectionism, and well, we've got a problem. 

So what am I gonna do? 

Well, for now, I will postpone this project. I am not abandoning and will never abandon this project unless I myself become a ghost. I just simply feel that my current skills and abilities in game development are up to the task with what I want to create. I realize that I have to accept that for now or else I'll end up never finishing this game properly.

What's next then? 

I'm not gonna stop making games, so you can expect maybe some small and short games testing out ideas, plugins, and my own coding to suddenly appear. I also might join some game jams again. The B&W Game Jam was a great experience for me and I want to get back the motivation I had when I was participating in it.
